New Travel Advisory For Egypt

The British Embassy has released this travel advisory for egypt:

• In light of the ongoing demonstrations, we advise against all but essential travel to Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor and Suez.  This does not affect transits through Cairo airport for onward travel to other destinations, although there is some disruption to flight schedules.  A nationwide curfew is in place from 1600 to 0800 local time.  The Egyptian authorities have  blocked mobile telephone and internet communications.  

It sounds like my trip may be diverted somewhere else this year. Boo..

Riots in egypt and the Philly D Show

So according to Phil and the world of which I am oblivious there are some major riots and protesting going on right now in Egypt. I really hope it doens't ruin my trip (even if that sounds selfish but I'm only going to get to go there once in my life and I don't really want to be blown up when I am there!)

Egypt!

I am going to Egypt on February 10! I am so excited. My flight is over 10 hours long which kind of sucks but it will be worth it one hundred percent! My mom told me not to bring my computer but then how will I blog about the awesomeness every night to make everyone jealous!
