Iron Horse Halloween Party

Last night my two best friends, Shonna and Phil, and I went out first to rehab on whyte ave. Which wasn't what we expected. They had no dance floor down stairs. We only stayed there for one drink. I am not sure what it was. We just had the bartender make it for us but it sure was yummy. After that we spent the rest of the night at Iron Horse. Their dance floor was small and crowded but we had so much fun. Phillip went crazy, dancing up a storm. Shonna was our DD and she can be a good caregiver when she wants to be.
Apparently the quotes of the night are these: "I can't find my pockets!" and "I can't feel my legs! Can you feel your legs?"

Party Time!

Getting ready for the movie tonight and then rehab on whyte after. Its going to be amazing.

Last night we went to a haunted house at the Sands hotel of Fort Road, called the Tour of Terror. It was really great! Some parts were super scary and it was really well put together. If your Looking for a haunted house to go to in Edmonton. That one is the one to do.

Halloween

Halloween is so close! I'm so excited to go out on saturday! I got my nerd glasse, suspenders, and bow tie for my costume and I am now all set. I'm thinking about curling my hair and then making it super frizzy too but I'm not sure my hair would stay like that so I'll have to see how it goes.

I put up my first and only halloween decoration today as well. Its a skeleton and bats that go on your wall it looks pretty sweet! Its too bad I didn't have anything for the yard though like a pumpkin.
Maybe I'll carve on tonight?

Dear Ex-Friend,
We were at one time best friends.
I was your friend in elementary school when you were missing your four front teeth because all you would drink is apple juice. I remember we were obsessed with Mary-Kate and Ashley.  I even forgave you when you let me get blamed for stealing when it was you. I didn't tell them.  I was a true friend.
I was your friend in Junior High when you had your first boyfriend and when you broke up with your first boyfriend.
I was always there for you when you needed me but where were you when I needed my best friend?
Where were you when we transferred to the highschool and I was all alone? When I would talk to you you would turn away from me and talk to someone else. I didn't exist. I wasn't cool enough I guess. You abandoned me. But I forgave you.
Where were you when we moved away from homeand started university? I'd always invite you out but you would never come, unless there wasn't a better offer. You would come visit me when it was convenient or you needed me to do something for you. I finally gave up and stopped inviting you but i missed my friend. I forgave you.
I texted you.
We were finally going to meet after one year of not speaking.
We were going to meet for brunch. I showed up and you weren't there. I just assumed you were running late.
I texted you and you never texted me back.
I waited and waited...
The waitress came over and asked me if I had been stood up. I said no my friend is coming she's just running late...
I waited an hour and then i phoned your house but you weren't there either.
I finally gave up and left.
I gave up on you, who phoned me two hours after we were supposed to meet because you slept in. If I was really important to you you wouldn't have slept in. You would have been there ten minutes early.

We used to know more about each other than anyone else.  We did everything important together and we loved all the same things. You would record Buffy so we could watch it together when I came over after school.  But now it is time to say goodbye and let go. I'm letting go of all the love, hate, hurt, anger, and any other feelings I ever had for you.
I was only so angry because I loved you so much.
I have given up on you now and there will be no second, third, or fourth chances.
But there is forgiveness.

I'm thinking about writing a letter to an ex friend. To let everything that she's done finally go.  Why should I let her have any of my emotions even if it's only anger.. Not sure If I'll post it here or not. We'll see how personal it gets.

Rocky Horror Glee Show

Tonight was the premiere of The Rocky Horror Glee show. It was alright but I think the shows making Mr Shoe way to corny. Just watching the stupid things he does makes me angry.  The writers need to make Shoe cool again.
Quinn on the other Hand was an Awesome Magenta! She looked and sounded like the character.

And of course Time Warp is just always fun no matter who's singing it. It was a good move ending an otherwise mediocre episode with that fun dance number.

Rocky Horror Picture Show

Las night was amazing! I've never had so much fun watching a movie before. It was so interactive and the crowd was really in a great mood. If you have never been to a Rocky Horror show in a theatre like this before your missing out.  You are supposed to bring props to the movie that you either throw or use at specific times.
These props include:
                           Cards
                           Rice
                           Toast
                           Toilet paper
                            Noise Maker
                           A flash light and
                           Newspaper
There was a guy who came dressed as frankenstein's creature, who isn't in the move but the transvestite, Dr. Frankenfurter, makes a beautiful man in much the same way as Dr. Victor Frankenstein. I really wished I had asked him to take a picture with me because he looked amazing. He had the extra face peices and the platform boots and the fur cloak. He looked like a real frankenstein. Shonna and I went as the Maid in the movie. Anyway if you have not gone to this movie before you really need to go and see it once!!

No more Blonde and Rocky Horror Picture Show

Well yesterday I went to the hair dresser to get rid of my blonde hair. It is nor a dark brown that looks quite red. I love it! Pictures pending as soon as I can get a good one.

Tonight is also the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Garneau! I'm going with Shonna and Morgan and I have to dress up. I'm not too sure what I'm gonna wear but apparently it has to include fish nets and a corset. This is gonna be interesting for sure!

Finally got to use my brand new old style Popcorn popper. It works awesome and adds character to my already retro-ish kitchen. It looks amazing and makes amazing popcorn. Thanks Nana and Pa!

buddy bidding bewilderment

I am a Psychology major and I have been taking a lot of psychology courses in the last year and a half and it seems as though after taking these classes I have been questioning people's motives and actions a lot more lately. My friend always asks my opinion on a certain subject that they know I would never participate in and slightly disapprove of (for safety and moral reasons). So I am wondering to myself do they want to know what I really think or do they just want reassurance that this action is ok? I always tell them that it is fine. Which for some it is. To each there own, right? But I can stop thinking "Am I doing the right thing by enabling my friend or do they want someone to tell them no,  what your doing could get you seriously hurt, emotionally and even possibly physically."  So what do you think she really wants. Reassurance or direction?

Art History Midterm

Well I am finished my midterm for Art History. I don't think I did Well but I think I at least passed. There was one question on Emily Carr (Yay) I had to compare one of her earlier works to her one of her later ones. I think I did well on that question other than not being able to remember the paintings names. I couldn't remember any of the paintings names but I did at least remember the artists. If I do really badly its because of my poorly constructed essay on the themes in art in the 30s and 40s. This is one instance where remembering the names of the paintings would have been useful when I was trying to reference them. Oh well...

Last Midterm of October

In about two hours I will be writing the last and I think the hardest midterm I have in October. Art History. I really do not understand the concepts of the art that I need to know and I find the teacher confusing but I'm gonna do my best to pass. Hopefully most of the questions will be on Emily Carr because I at least understand her art.

Naughty Firemen

Today I went to the Taboo Sex Show with Shonna and Morgan. It was lots of fun. There were many girly giggles over some of the toys and costumes but I must say the highlight of the night was the 2011 firefighter calender. It was really cute. Some of the guys in the Calender were there to sign them and I must say they are some naughty firemen. Just look at the pictures I have posted. Matt, Mike and Graham. Graham was a real sweetie.  Anyways the Calender proceeds go to the burn Victim Unit so I'm just supporting a good cause...

So I am just sitting here at home before school waiting for a email from my professor about the midterm I'm supposed to write this afternoon online and I'm trying to study.  I think that their may possibly be something wrong with my attention span when I can only study like ten flash cards at a time before I find myself doing something completely different. Like writing on my blog, or doing my dishes. I hate doing the dishes but apparently I hate it less than studying for my midterms which are actually important. Does anyone know how to test for ADD....

It would appear that I have lots of studying to do.  I made the majority of these cards today and I have cards to make for one more subject still. My tests start this thursday and end next friday (October 20). I can't wait for it to be finished!

Buffy afraid of Minnie?!

For the last two days I have been trying to figure out why Buffy has been acting so strange. Hiding under the bed, always trying to sit on my lap, and she won't play with Minnie. I had a lightbulb go on last night. She is scared of Minnie because she  is wearing the cone of shame! She's been hiding from Minnie this whole time. Its too bad Minnie has to wear it for another 5 days. Poor Buffy..

Minnie came back from her surgery today and she has to wear *gasp* the cone of shame. If any of you don't understand this reference you need to watch the Disney/Pixar movie Up.  She's doing pretty good. She's moving around pretty well other than getting her head stuck in things. It seems that she keeps forgetting her head is twice as large when she wears the cone of shame.

Post Surgery

Today is me first day after having an Ovarian cyst removed yesterday at 2:00. The staff at the St. Albert hospital are really wonderful. I feel pretty sore today and my stitches look nasty but I should heal up soon. Its not even my stomach that hurts the worst its my chest from them blowing me full of air haha. My best friend Shonna asked me when I got out if it looked liked I'd been stabbed by a unicorn. I told her that it looked like a triceratops and a Unicorn joined forces to beat me up. We have the strangest conversations.

Walk To Remember

Yesterday was the Walk to remember for all of the babies who were with us for too short a time.  It was at the legislature grounds and it was a beautiful day.  The weather was wonderful (at least 23) and the grounds looked beautiful all decked out in fall colors. The ceremony was gorgeous as well. They did a very good job at organizing the event. The Balloon release at the end of the walk was really emotional for a lot of people. I hope the balloons made it a long way. I hope your happy where you are Allese.
